About the Opportunity:
We are currently seeking an experienced Leading Hand Mechanical Fitter to join our CSI Kwinana Workshop team.
Located south of Perth, the Kwinana Workshop is the largest facility of its kind in Western Australia and undertakes the fabrication of mining and processing plants as well as fixed and mobile equipment maintenance. The workshop services MinRes and client sites.
In this leadership role, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating mechanical maintenance activities while providing hands-on technical support to the team. You will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of maintenance tasks across workshop operations.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead and support a workshop team of Mechanical Fitters and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Mentor and motivate your team to maximise productivity and performance.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for parts and supplies.
- Perform advanced mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and diagnostics
- Interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics
- Plan and prioritise daily tasks for the team to meet operational deadlines
- Promote and uphold strong safety standards and compliance
- Liaise effectively with supervisors, planners, and other stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop
What is required:
- Australian or Australian recognised trade qualification relevant to the role
- Current Manual C Class Drivers License (HR license desirable)
- HRWL (DG, RB, CN, WP) (highly desirable)
- Construction Induction Card
- Working at Heights, Confined Space and Gas Testing (desirable)
- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
- Ability to meet pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening requirements
