The Opportunity

Provide support to the Geology function of the Technical Services Department, with all aspects of the ongoing planning, production and reconciliation of the Wodgina Mine, as and where required on a 8DX6 7N7X roster.

Key responsibilities:

• Accurate data analysis for feedback and geology data
• Blast Hole Sampling, Crusher sampling and delivery to on-site laboratory
• Density testing
• Ore spotting to maintain ore hygiene
• Stockpile inspection, reconciliations and balance
• QAQC review of Laboratory assay, results and data
• Communicate and escalate any variance or deviation to plan to key stakeholders

What is Required

• Manual C class Australian Driving License
• Demonstrate safe behaviour at all times
• Confident computer skills with Microsoft Office programs, in particular Excel and Word, and a willingness to increase your computer skills where required
• Good organisational skills and ability to self-manage workload
• Ability to work in both a team environment, as well as confidence work independently
• Excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with stakeholders at all levels
• Previous exposure to mining environment beneficial, but not essential
• General interest in rocks and geology highly desirable

The Wodgina lithium operation is located 120km south of Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. MinRes manages all mining operations at Wodgina, including a spodumene concentrate processing plant with an annual capacity of 900,000 tonnes (SC5.5).
