The Opportunity

In this role, you will report to the Senior Metallurgist and work on an 8:6 roster as part of our Mount Marion operation in Western Australia. Your focus will be on managing and optimising metallurgical processes within the lithium processing plant.

Your primary responsibilities may include:

• Helping analyse and improve metallurgical processes, including screening, dense medium separation, gravity reflux / UCC separation, and dewatering.
• Ensuring that metallurgical outputs meet required specifications, including assisting with quality control procedures and laboratory testing.
• Preparing reports on process performance and participating in meetings to discuss improvements and challenges.
• Making sure all operations comply with workplace safety protocols and environmental regulations and standards.
• Assisting with research to explore new methods and technologies for metal extraction and processing whilst staying up to date with industry trends and advancements.

What is Required?

Our ideal candidate will have some post-graduation experience and be eager to learn and grow in the field of metallurgy.

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

• A tertiary qualification in metallurgical or chemical engineering.
• While not essential, previous exposure to lithium would be beneficial.
