The opportunity

MinRes is seeking Privacy Data Mapping Analyst to support data inventory and mapping activities across priority business processes. In this role, you'll work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business to understand how personal information is collected, used, disclosed, stored, retained and managed throughout its lifecycle — helping MinRes build a stronger privacy program.

This position will be under a 6-month fixed term contract.

Key responsibilities:

• Support personal information mapping across priority business processes.
• Facilitate workshops and interviews to capture accurate data inventory information.
• Support Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs) for business units across MinRes, ensuring documentation is accurate and practical.
• Develop and maintain a personal information register across key systems (HR, payroll, recruitment, health & safety, contractor management).
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture, IT and Cyber Security to develop data maps and data-flow documentation.
• Identify and document privacy risks, gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare Findings and Recommendations Reports with clear, risk-based actions.
• Support business owners to validate outputs and own ongoing maintenance.
• Update privacy risk documentation as required.

What You'll Bring

• Demonstrated experience developing data inventories, RoPAs, privacy registers and personal information data maps.
• Experience identifying and documenting privacy, information management or risk issues, with a track record of developing practical, actionable recommendations.
• Sound understanding of privacy principles, the lifecycle management of personal information or risk management practices.
• Privacy, risk, information security or data governance qualifications/certifications are desirable but not essential.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to facilitate workshops and interviews across business and technical teams.
