The Opportunity
Be part of the landmark Onslow Iron project, reporting to the Quality and Operational Assurance Superintendent. As a Quality and Operational Assurance Coordinator, you will focus on inventory and product quality by overseeing operational contracts, particularly inventory movements and maintaining the quality of both products and services. Based at our Port operations in Onslow on an 8/6 FIFO roster, you will oversee mine-to-ship services, quality assurance, and product testing.
This is a permanent full-time role based on an 8D 6RR roster.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Data validation and analysis
- Data reconciliation – weightometers, TSV draft surveys, and ship surveys to ensure data accuracy and validity
- Quality reporting and analysis
- Reporting and communicating production performance and contract compliance data to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
- Scheduling stockyard movements to manage product quality while maximising throughput
- Monitoring daily changes to the preferred laycan schedule and facilitating value trade-off discussions to ensure ships are available for loading while optimising shipping freight and demurrage costs
- Reviewing ship loading documentation
- Working closely within the laboratory to ensure smooth operations and contract compliance
About You
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in pit-to-port supply chain and marine operations (preferred)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
- Current WA Driver’s Licence – C Class
- A current Maritime Security Card (MSIC), or the ability to obtain one
About Onslow
The Onslow Iron project is a landmark pit-to-port operation, spanning 150 kilometres east from Onslow to the Ken’s Bore mine. This project will redefine mining with its world-first autonomous road trains, industry-leading dust-free transport, and resort-style accommodation for a workforce of around 800 people.
