About the Opportunity

We are seeking expressions of interest from Water Treatment RO Operators  to join our team at Onslow Port. These roles are full time positions and can allow you to grow your skill set with on-site training and the opportunity to develop your career on the tools and as a leader.

Roster & Travel:

This position operates on an 8/6 roster (8 days on, 6 days off) with Monday fly days and flights provided from Perth. Enjoy excellent work-life balance with regular time home while being part of our essential operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

As an RO Operator, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our water treatment and distribution systems. This includes monitoring water quality, conducting routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You'll work with cutting-edge technology while maintaining the critical water infrastructure that keeps our operations running smoothly.

  • All aspects of housekeeping including cleaning of mobile plant, control room and company vehicles, and also including clean-up of spillage within the Plant using both manual and mechanical methods. 
  • Manual handling ability of up to 40kg as the role involves lifting, pushing, pulling, work at heights and others exertions associated with manual roles and requires certain physical demands and exposure to challenging environments
  • Identify, investigate, report and fix all defects and spillage in assigned areas of the fixed plant, and ensure there is work planned to fix in shutdowns where required.
  • Assisting maintenance workers with maintenance and servicing of Plant and Equipment during Plant shutdowns and breakdowns.
  • Completion of any other tasks and activities within your competency as directed by the Site Leadership Team
  • Compliance with all Company & Site Rules and Regulations as stipulated by the Company and/or the Client
  • Participate in hazard identification, assessment and control
  • Providing input and feedback for Plant and Operational improvements.

What is required:

  • Experience with R/O treatment plants and maintaining Potable water
  • Water Quality checks and compliancy sampling
  • Demonstrated safety commitment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to carry out work instructions and directives to provide satisfactory outcomes
  • Ability to work within a team environment to achieve desired results
  • Flexible and versatile attitude

Tickets & Licenses Required:

  • Current Australian Driver's License (HR license desirable)
  • 4 years experience in water treatment, pumping systems, or utilities operations
  • Cert 3 in Water Operations - Desirable 
  • Construction Induction Card 
  • Working at Heights, Confined Space and Gas Testing (desirable)
  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
  • Ability to meet pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening requirements.
