MinRes Marine team is seeking skilled multiple Supervisor Marine Maintenance to lead our maintenance and repairs for the Transhipment Vessels to ensure the fleet achieves maximum production safely and efficiently.  You will play an integral role managing our crew contractors and coordinate vessel maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime, whilst engaging relevant technical teams to diagnose faults and implement effective repair strategies.

 

For this role you will be rostered on a 14D/14R/14D/14R based at Onslow and reporting directly to the Senior Superintendent Maintenance  

 

Key responsibilities may include:

• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of marine vessels involved in transhipment operations at Onslow Iron and MinRes Marine.

• Supervise overall safety and operational efficiency for crew contractors 

• Liaise with technical teams to diagnose faults and devise effective repair strategies

• Coordinate vessel maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

 

• Technical Trades Qualification, Fitter or HD Fitter experience

• Marine Qualification and or Marine Operations experience is highly desirable

• Experience with Materials handling Equipment

• Solid understanding transhipping operation is highly desirable 

• Proven leadership abilities and strong organisational skills

• Ability to communicate effectively and constructively with senior business leaders and other technical stakeholders. 

 

The Onslow Port covers the coastal component of the Onslow Iron Project. The site is currently under construction, with first ore expected mid-2024. Central to Onslow Iron’s success will be its innovative transhipping solution, which will allow MinRes to ship millions of tonnes of ore without the need for a deep-water port. The resort style accommodation village on Onslow Beach will set a new industry standard for an anticipated 450 workers.
