The Opportunity
We are seeking experienced Fleet Management System Operators for our Onslow Iron site, working an attractive 8/6, 7/7 FIFO roster. In this pivotal position, you’ll harness the Wenco FMS to monitor, dispatch and control mining fleets, playing a key role in our productivity and operational efficiency.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in all pre-start meetings, supporting our Critical Risk Management (CRM) approach.
  • Capture and enter Hazard Cards for both day and night shifts into the INX InControl System.
  • Support the Mining Supervisor in completing daily SIC reports.
  • Dispatch the mining fleet with a focus on maximising safety and productivity.
  • Direct and monitor mobile mining equipment, coordinate logistics, and adapt plans in real time to drive efficient operations.
  • Manage daily FMS data, record mining activity, and identify emerging trends or inefficiencies.
  • Monitor safety compliance, report incidents, and coordinate responses under the guidance of site management.

What is required?

  • Minimum two years’ proven experience in open cut mine operations.
  • Demonstrated background in Fleet Management System/dispatch roles—experience with Wenco Mine FMS is highly regarded.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Sound working knowledge of INX InControl.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently from operators through to senior management.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
