The Role

We currently have an opportunity for an Inventory Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a Monday – Friday role based at our state-of-the-art Osborne Park Head Office.

Reporting to the Inventory Superintendent, the Inventory Analyst provides inventory and materials management services and solutions to allow an uninterrupted supply of required goods to MRL companies. In addition to standard Inventory Control functions of maintaining optimal levels and item availability, the Primary role of the Inventory Analyst is responsible for ongoing support and development for the rest of the Inventory team, and support of the Materials Management leadership team in process improvement and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain materials process, by analysing and quantifying materials data, and actioning accordingly.
  • Assist in development of periodic inventory counts.
  • Manage and maintain material master data.
  • Act in accordance with Supply policies and procedures
  • Analyse inventory settings and make or recommend changes
  • Perform item reviews for aged inventory and any material no longer required by the business to ascertain requirement.
  • Optimise Bulk and Individually Managed Commodities
  • Ensure timely resolution of any Inventory related issues
  • Proactively develop and maintain positive working relationships and communication channels with key Stakeholders
  • Assist in problem solving and with any identified areas of difficulty that impacts the customer.
  • Provide guidance on best practice for Materials Management.
  • Support the Inventory Superintendent and Inventory Team as required in reporting and process development

What will you bring?

  • Tertiary qualified in an associated field or equivalent industry experience
  • Effective communication & time management skills
  • Able to work well in a team environment or autonomously as required
  • Analysis and problem solving skills
  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • An advanced knowledge of all facets of Material Management, Warehousing and Logistics processes and procedures
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite of programs
  • Advanced knowledge of Inventory Optimisation tools.
  • Awareness of basic business improvement tools and processes.
  • Experience in Vendor/Contractor Management
