The Opportunity

MinRes is actively seeking an experienced IT Support Officer to offer assistance at our Service Desk Function located at Head Quarters in Osborne Park. Reporting through to the Manager, your role will require you to provide a single point of contact for the communication and coordination of MinRes IT Systems.

  • Identify opportunities to drive continual improvements within the Service Desk function and where applicable to the greater IT department
  • Maintain compliance to licensing requirements for all relevant hardware and software.
  • Logging, tracking, troubleshooting and resolving service requests to meet agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Escalation of requests to other teams or team members when required.
  • Support the corporate IT environment including desktop hardware, software and all relevant applications. Build, troubleshoot, and repair computers, printers and any other associated IT equipment.
  • Keep the IT environment (desktops, laptops, phones) updated with their latest hardware, software and application patches.

What is required?

  • Strong Knowledge deploying and maintaining Windows OS and Office applications
  • Experienced working within a Service Desk environment managing end user requests
  • Exposure in the installation, testing and maintaining of hardware and software according to a standard operating environment (SOE).
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills, providing 1st and 2nd level of technical support
  • Excellent communication skill with the ability to work in a high pressure environment
