About the Opportunity

Our Mount Marion Lithium Operation is seeking a Laboratory Technicians to join the team. We have full-time positions available on both permanent and fixed-term bases, working on a 7 days on, 7 nights on, 7 days off roster . The Laboratory Technician will report directly to the Laboratory Supervisor.

As a Laboratory Technician, you will operate and maintain the site assay lab and be responsible for the preparation and analysis of routine plant and pit samples.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Complete preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Ensure responses are captured promptly and communicated to the appropriate teams
• Inspect the workplace to identify hazards and assist to implement effective controls
• Accurate and timely reporting of analytical results
• Perform QAQC checks and ensure results are within control limits
• Ensuring you follow MinRes Laboratory procedures & adhere to Health & Safety Standards 
• Contribute to daily PSI meetings
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in relation to procedures, systems and work-related activities and initiate improvement action via an entry in the Laboratory Improvement Request Register

What you’ll bring

• Previous years working in similar position with hands-on experience in any of XRF or ICP (Highly desirable)
• MSL40118 Certificate 1V Laboratory Technician (Highly desirable)
• Ability to work cohesively in close knit team environment
• A strong commitment to commitment to safety
• High attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Full Australian working rights
• Current WA C Class Drivers Licence 

About Mount Marion

Mt Marion is located 40km southwest of Kalgoorlie in the Goldfields region of Western Australia. MinRes manages all mining activities at Mt Marion, including a spodumene concentrate processing plant with an annual production capacity of 600,000 tonnes (SC6 equivalent).
