The Opportunity

As Network Engineer, you will implement technical enhancements and modifications to IT and OT Infrastructure,  inclusive of building, operating and monitoring networking devices in several locations across Australia. 

For this position you will report directly to the Senior Network Engineer, and you will be based at our HQ office on Osborne Park, and on occasions oversee projects up onsite as the business requires.  

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and maintain Company networks, inclusive of infrastructure maintenance and installation. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline project management workflows, implement enhancements/ modifications and optimise incident response times. 
  • Support and maintain data centre networking (switching and routing), network security (firewalls, Palo Alto and Cisco), Enterprise SDWAN services, and VLAN/ VRF technologies/networking planning. 
  • Ensure remote site connectivity through demonstrated knowledge of relevant systems and technology. 
  • Optimise and continuously improve processes and systems of work, with specific focus on communication and networks. 
  • Liaise with the business to determine operational needs. 
  • Contribute to the identification, assessment and management of business risks. 
  • Network service provisioning and relocation as required. 

 

What is required

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate Route and Switch or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in a network and/or infrastructure engineering role.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop an enterprise networking strategy, inclusive of Data Centre Networking, Enterprise SDWAN services, and LTE technology/ networks. 
  • Experience with Enterprise WAN/LAN design and implementation. 
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of Network Security across remote locations. 
  • Experience with network service provisioning and relocation. 
  • Advanced knowledge in various network technologies.
  • Strong relationship building, influence and negotiation skills.
