Autonomous road trains

Our world-first autonomous road trains are key to helping us unlock stranded tonnes. We’ll run a fleet of 425 tonne triple-trailer road trains in convoys consisting of up to five prime mover trucks, hauling the ore from the mine-site to the Port of Ashburton. These road trains offer significant benefits including leading edge safety features, fewer emissions and lower costs.

Transhippers

We’ve developed a unique transhipping solution that will be an essential part of the logistics chain operating out of the Port of Ashburton. Transhippers will transport 20,000t ore to capesize carriers offshore, removing the need for substantial dredging and construction costs for a deep water berth. It’s also a more environmentally friendly solution.
