The Opportunity

MinRes is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our high‑performing Lithium Division. This is a pivotal role responsible for the planning, delivery, and execution of key projects that directly support the division’s operational and strategic goals.

You will bring strong technical capabilities and stakeholder engagement skills to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support across all stages of the project lifecycle, from design through to execution, ensuring compliance with operational and regulatory requirements of the Lithium Division
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating clear communication on progress, challenges, and deliverables
  • Develop, manage, and track project and study budgets, schedules, and resource plans; identify and resolve variances promptly
  • Ensure all projects and studies adhere to relevant standards, regulations, and best practices; champion continuous process improvement
  • Proactively identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and address issues as they arise


What is required?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing or related discipline
  • Extensive experience in similar roles within the mining industry
  • Willingness to travel to site on a regular occurrence in line with requirements
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in contract management including handling variations and claims
  • Demonstrated success in managing and leading high-impact cross functional teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-complexity projects simultaneously.
  • Highly effective relationship building skills with ability to work effectively with employees and stakeholders at all levels
