The Opportunity

Our CSI  Kwinana workshop is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team. 

The Mechanical Supervisor will be leading and supporting a team of experienced individuals which include Leading hands, Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter and apprentice providing frontline task allocation, direction, mentoring and supervision to your team, whilst reaching our workshop deliverables safely and efficient manner. 

In this position, you will report directly to the Workshop Superintendent and be part of a longstanding leadership team within a well-established workshop operation. You will be based at our Kwinana Workshop working  Monday to Friday. 

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Schedule, plan and coordinate mechanical works for company employees
• Supervise, instruct, mentor, and develop maintenance personnel in daily activities and tasks
• Ensure that the installation and commissioning activities are being undertaken in a timely and cost-effective manner for all works
• Reporting of incidents, non-conformances, near misses and participate in incident investigations as required
• Ensure Quality, Environmental, and other Company policies are implemented, maintained, and progressively improved.

What you’ll bring to the team

• Australian Recognised Trade Qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 2+ years’ Supervision experience  
• Minimum 5+ years’ post trade experience
• Minimum 4+ years’ experience working with Screens and Crushers
• S26 supervisor qualification
• Appointed Persons qualification – Section 44
• Well-developed interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills

The workshop, located 41km from Perth is the largest facility of its kind in Western Australia and undertakes fabrication of mining and processing plants, fixed and mobile equipment maintenance and is the primary support and service centre for our operational crushing and processing sites. It is set on 10 hectares of land and currently employs over 150 people.
