The Opportunity

MinRes is seeking an experienced Senior Mine Supervisor on an 8x6x7x7 roster based at our Wodgina Lithium operation. As a Senior Mine Supervisor, your purpose is to deliver results and be the driving force behind our daily mining operations. You will deliver the mine plan with exceptional precision and ensure our operations consistently meet high standards. Your role will encompass coaching and mentoring shift supervisors, conducting short-term workforce planning, and implementing safe work systems. Your leadership will ensure operational efficiency and productivity and foster a culture dedicated to safety and continuous improvement.

• Attend and guide handover meetings, addressing questions and ensuring smooth transitions between shifts.
• Collaborate with Shift Supervisors to strategise and achieve the daily 24-hour plan safely and effectively
• Review and accurately compile critical operational data, including FMS safety performance, to spot trends and revise strategies proactively
• Manage workforce planning, maintain optimal operations and compliance with budgets, and identify training needs to ensure skillset sustainability
• Champion hazard reporting, lead safety investigations, and conduct field leadership activities to foster a proactive safety culture and secure 'safe tonnes’
• Provide commentary on weekly plan compliance and collaborate on fortnightly planning sessions with the MTS team to ensure alignment and continuity
• Oversee the execution of mining activities in collaboration with Shift Supervisors to maintain pit standards, road surfaces, and correct asset allocation through regular cycle time reviews
• Engage with FMS operators to regularly identify and implement efficiency improvements, ensuring data accuracy in MaxMine and refining operational processes for enhanced productivity

What is Required?

• Current Statutory Supervisor Schedule 26 or working towards
• Minimum seven years’ experience working in a Leadership role within the operational mining environment
• Quarry Managers ticket is highly advantageous
• Strong understanding of mining equipment and operational processes
• Experience with workforce planning and training needs analysis
• Ability to analyse and interpret technical data to make informed operational decisions
