About the Opportunity  

A Great Opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the MinRes business and be part of our Energy Division. This will be a diverse role with the main scopes of work will include providing electrical engineering expertise in the design, construction and maintenance of the organisation’s power generation, battery energy storage, renewable energy systems and associated infrastructure.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be reporting to the Manager for Engineering and projects and will be based at our state of the Head Office Space in Osborne Park working a 5:2 Monday – Friday Roster and travel to MinRes owned and operated sites through the Pilbara and Goldfields on an adhoc basis.

Key Responsibilities will include:  

• Work closely with Power Station Operations to define and implement improvements to existing power station systems and equipment
• Provide a focal point for Electrical, Instrumentation and Communication system related technical based queries from the client or associated sub suppliers
• Liaise with both in-house and external designers and detailers as required for the successful completion of each project
• Work closely with I & C Engineers to understand PLC and SCADA equipment and design and electrical interfacing requirements
• Oversee design and selection of all HV and LV electrical equipment and systems
• Ensure all MinRes Health, Safety & Environmental standards are adhered to through out constriction, commissioning & operational phases of Energy Assets.

What is required   

• 5 + years in a similar position either working for an or EPC/M organisation or reciprocating gas engine Power Station Owner Operator
• Diverse energy industry experience in an Electrical Engineering capacity from Design, Programming to Commissioning
• Experience with Electrical design software packages, experience with industry accepted generator controllers would he highly beneficial.
• High level of computer literacy (operating systems, office products, engineering tools).
• Ability to maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Results orientated, with a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
