The Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager Haulage Operations, the Superintendent Haul Infrastructure will coordinate with multiple teams to support ramp-up, ongoing operations, and the integration of autonomous haulage systems.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for managing and maintaining 150 kilometers of haul road and all supporting civil infrastructure required for road haulage and autonomous operations between Ken’s Bore and the Port
  
  
• Plan and coordinate regular maintenance activities, including grading, resurfacing, drainage management, and other civil works required to maintain the haul road infrastructure
  
  
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, provide regular updates and reports to the Manager Haulage Operations on the status of infrastructure activities, issues, and improvement initiatives
  
  
• Work closely with the Autonomous Operations Team to ensure infrastructure is suitable and ready for autonomous haulage operations
  
  
• Manage and monitor the budget for haul infrastructure maintenance and improvement activities, ensuring cost-effective use of resources
  
  
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in the management of haul road infrastructure
  
  
• Identify potential risks related to haul road infrastructure and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on haulage operations

What is required?

• Relevant tertiary qualification
  
  
• Project management experience within the construction / mining industry with demonstrated success in delivering targets, timeframes and logistics management maintenance practices, and civil engineering principles
  
  
• Experience in managing large-scale haul road networks and civil infrastructure
  
  
• Strong leadership and communication abilities translated into the achievement by the staff of individual and team performance objectives and measurement targets
  
  
• Competent in understand and promoting HS&E imperatives and IMS procedures
  
  
• Demonstrates flexibility and resilience in dealing with complex issues, looks for approach change, and deploys sound problem-solving methodology

About Onslow

Our Onslow Iron project is set to redefine mining in Western Australia through world-first autonomous road trains, industry leading dust free transport and innovative transshipping.

Taking shape 150 kilometres east of Onslow, the project will ship around 35 million tonnes of iron ore per year and is expected to have a mine life of more than 30 years.

The project encompasses the Ken’s Bore mine (approximately 150km from Onslow), Truck Maintenance Facility and Onslow Port infrastructure.
