The Opportunity

CSI is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Supervisor for our Conveyor Services team. This role will have a hands on approach, you will oversee and coordinate conveyor belt splicing and maintenance across our various locations. You will manage a team of technicians, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality splicing operations while maintaining compliance with industry standards. This role will require you to work across various locations on an 8x6x7x7 roster, which will require flexibility around rosters to cover for shutdowns and breakdowns.

• Supervise and lead a team of technicians in belt splicing and maintenance tasks.
• Oversee steel cord and fabric conveyor splicing and repair, ensuring safety and quality standards compliance.
• Coordinate work across various locations, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
• Ensure all splicing tasks are completed in line with company and regulatory requirements, including risk assessments and hazard mitigation.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure required materials and equipment availability for splicing.
• Foster a safety culture, ensuring all team members follow safety protocols and company guidelines.
• Prepare reports and maintain documentation for all work performed, ensuring compliance with internal and external audits.

What is required?

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Supervisor or Leading Hand role within the conveyor maintenance or mining industry.
• 10+ years' experience in conveyor maintenance and belt splicing, with extensive expertise in Steel Cord and Fabric Conveyor Splicing/Repair methods.
• Cert III in Polymer Fabrication (desirable).
• Section 26 or Section 44
• Basic to intermediate experience using Microsoft Office, PDS, SAP, or similar software  
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable).
• Frontline Supervisory Qualification (desirable).
