The Opportunity
MinRes is looking for Senior Shotfirers to join our unique Drill and Blast team, working on 8 days on 6 days off, 7 nights on 7 off FIFO roster at Wodgina, one of our owner-operated lithium sites. Reporting to the Drill and Blast Supervisor, this is a permanent, full-time opportunity to be part of a dedicated team.

What is required?

• Demonstrated commitment to safety
• Current Australian C Class Driver’s Licence
• Current Dangerous Goods Security Card
• Valid Shot firing ticket
• Demonstrated leadership experience, running multiple blast crews
• 3+ years shotfirer experience in a hard rock production mining environment
• Experience working with Electronic Detonators is preferred, but not essential
• Experience working with presplits and reactive ground is desirable
• Hold, or willing to obtain a National Police Clearance valid within 12 months
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screen

Located 110 kilometres by road south of Port Hedland in the Pilbara region, Wodgina is one of the largest known hard rock lithium deposits in the world. As a Tier 1 asset, Wodgina is central to MinRes’ Lithium division and its large village hosts 704 rooms.
