The Opportunity

MinRes seeks an experienced and versatile Pit Technician to join our Mt Marion Lithium Operation on a 2x1 roster. Reporting to the Senior Mining Geologist, the role is designed to be a well-rounded position that assists the technical services and mine operations teams in all facets of the mining operation. The Pit Technician must handle a range of sampling tasks and play a critical role in grade control, ore-mark ups, spotting, and precise data entry.

• Undertake diverse sampling tasks, including site blast-hole sampling, ROM sampling, density and moisture sampling.
• Assist with data entry, validation, and processing related to mining operations
• Conduct daily survey services (pickups, set-outs, etc.) according to mine plan priorities.
• Ability to obtain CASA accreditation and operate small drones in a workplace for survey, drill and blast and mining purposes.
• Assist technical services and mine operations teams in delivering results aligned to organisational goals.
• Perform other tasks as specified.

What is required?

• Minimum 1 years’ experience working in the same Mining Production environment
• Competent utilising MS Office suite, including Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate to all level of the business
• Current Western Australian ‘C Class’ Drivers Licence 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
