The Opportunity

Our Weipa Operation is currently seeking an experienced and qualified Trainer and Assessors to join our team on an 8x6 FIFO roster from Brisbane or Cairns. In this role, you will ensure workplace training needs are successfully met to the CSI Mining Services standards, aligned with the organisation’s goals, and assist in ensuring employees are fully compliant and ready to go once they arrive on site. This position will require you to facilitate training, develop training materials, and ensure adherence to the MinRes Training System.

• Facilitate a range of training and assessment activities, including Nationally Recognised Training (NRT), Verification of Competency (VOC) & site-based training presentations.
• Support the implementation of new VOC/training requirements for new equipment on site.
• Develop and modify training packages to ensure they meet business and site-specific needs.
• Ensure training materials are aligned with National Standards and current industry practices.
• Build strong relationships with site-based management teams to understand and meet their training requirements.
• Upload completed training documentation into the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Audit MinRes sites regularly to ensure compliance with the Training Framework requirements and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to trainees, encouraging continuous learning and improvement.

What is required?

• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116) or (TAE40122)
• Demonstrated experience working in a training role, within a busy, remote mining environment is crucial
• Experience in the development of training packages to meet National Standards.
• Experience in the Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with multicombination/ bulk haulage
• Requirement to hold any or all of the following National Competencies;
• RIIMPO310E Conduct Grader Operations
• RIIMPO304D Conduct Wheel Loader Operations
• MC Drivers Licence (Desirable)
• High Risk Work Licences (Desirable)
