Our CSI Hazelmere workshop is seeking a Nester Operator  to manage our nesting and steel resources to ensure smooth operations, accurate steel allocation, and maintain high levels of productivity.

 

You will play an integral role allocating tasks for plasma machine operators, overseeing steel usage, planning maintenance schedules, and driving efficiency through key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting. 

 

Key responsibilities may include:

• Perform nesting tasks and manage steel resources to optimize utilization.

• Allocate jobs for plasma machine operators, ensuring accurate and timely execution.

• Plan and oversee preventative maintenance and address breakdowns for plasma machines.

• Track and allocate steel to the correct job numbers with precision.

• Develop and monitor KPIs to measure operational performance.

• Prepare detailed monthly reports indicating steel usage per job number

 

 

• Experience in nesting and programming, preferably with Pronest and CAD/CAM software.

• Strong understanding of steel management processes

• Knowledge of plasma cutting operations and maintenance planning is highly desirable.

• LF Forklift

• high-risk work license 

• Proficiency in developing KPIs and preparing performance reports.

• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Excellent planning and organizational skills to allocate resources effectively.
