The Opportunity

The Team Lead DTS is responsible to provide operational leadership for the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of Mine Technology Systems across mine and marine operations.  You play an integral role to ensure reliable and secure technology services through effective team leadership, system planning and stakeholder engagement at the Onslow operation.

In this position, you will report directly to the Superintendent and on regular 8/6 roster base at our Onslow site operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, mentor and allcate workload to direct reports, ensuring a high-performing and collaborative technical team that meets operational priorities.
• Oversee the installation, and integration of new systems and technology upgrades to improve reliability and performance across mine and marine operations.
• Demonstrate effective management of multidisciplinary technical teams, ensuring alignment with safety, operational, and business objectives.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and service providers to ensure consistent support for IT services and projects.
• Apply a strong understanding of operational requirements and support processes to maintain uptime and performance across critical mining and marine systems.
• Maintain broad knowledge of technology infrastructure, networking, and application ecosystems that enable and support production operations.
• Coordinate teams during major technology outages with Major Incident Manager, assist in driving structured fault-finding, root cause analysis, and service restoration.

What is Required:

• Relevant Tertiary Technology Qualification or Industry Certification
• Excellent Network, Servers and Industrial Communications Knowledge
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong time management & organizational skills
• Demonstrated analytical and problem management skills.
• Expert knowledge in current technologies applicable to the company
• Advanced technical understanding of hardware, software, applications, networks, communications technologies

About Onslow Port 

The Onslow Port covers the coastal component of the Onslow Iron Project. The site is currently under construction, with first ore expected mid-2024. Central to Onslow Iron’s success will be its innovative transhipping solution, which will allow MinRes to ship millions of tonnes of ore without the need for a deep-water port. The resort style accommodation village on Onslow Beach will set a new industry standard for an anticipated 450 workers.
